The reason they made remakes for R/B and G/S was because due to technical difficulties those pokemon could not be traded into the newer games. The question is, will they go for the 2.5D kinda game like in the DS games, or will they make it like XD or Colosseum? I think that the fact that they didn’t make them 3DS games shows that they’re still trying to figure out how to put the series on the next platform. I think we can expect that the first 3DS pokemon games will not be mainstream games, just like when they started out on the DS. Their releases have always been patterned before, but these break the pattern. These games really show an interesting future for the franchise.
